Camp

Olive Bee Farm Camp is for kids who love gardening and animals, there’s nothing better than spending a week at a farm camp! The campers will collect eggs, feed the animals and spend relaxing time with our cows,plant and harvest vegetables, arts and crafts, enjoy campfires and outdoor adventures!

When is the camp?

The 2021 spring camp will run on the following days five days.

Monday May 10th 1:30PM – 5 :30 PM

Tuesday Math 11th 1 :30 PM – 5 :30 PM

Wednesday NO CAMP

Thursday May 13th 1 :30 PM – 5 :30 PM

Friday May 14th 1 :30 PM – 5 :30 PM

Saturday May 15th 1 :30 PM – 5 :30 PM

Can we schedule a tour to see camp before we sign up?

The best way to see camp for the first time is at our Open House event, scheduled for Saturday April 3rd from 3PM – 5PM. Our staff will welcome you and answer any questions you may have! We do suggest that you register for camp before touring to ensure that your child has a spot. If you come to the Open House and determine Forest camp isn’t what you were looking for, we’ll return your deposit. If you would like attend the open house please send us a message on our contact page and we will get you more information.


What is the age range?

Our camp is ideal for ages 7-12, however we would welcome younger siblings who can follow directions.


How to register for camp?

Do you provide refunds?

Typically we do not provide refunds and plan to host camp rain or shine. However, please feel free to reach out to us due to an unforseen event/emergency.


What does my child need to bring to camp?

Once your camper is registered, you will receive an email with a detailed packing list.


What Covid precautions is Olive Bees Farm taking?

This will be an outdoor camp where people are free to social distance as they feel comfortable. We will have the kids use hand sanitizer upon arrival and we ask that sick kids stay home.


Who are the leaders in charge of the camp?

Natalie has been homeschooling for the last 7 years and wouldn’t have it any other way. She keeps busy with their schooling, running the kids around and managing the home. She enjoys being outdoors and providing a fun and engaging environment for kids to learn.

Galia is a forest teacher and is very enthusiastic about outdoor play! Her background is in Waldorf education, arts and handwork, teaching the whole child – Head( thinking), heart (feeling) and hands(willing)! She believes in a peaceful and positive approach to parenting that promotes a relationship with our children based on willingness and choices. Spending time outdoors, surrounded by nature is crucial for their social and emotional development!

Thomas has been farming and gardening for 15 years and has a passion for permaculture and homesteading. Thomas is married to Natalie and they moved out to North Carolina from Nebraska in 2020. Together they have 3 children.


Do you offer any discounts?

We offer a $5 per day discount to returning campers.


How large will the camp be?

The max amount of campers we can accommodate per day is 20.


Are parents free to stay during camp?

This is a drop off style camp. No exceptions.
